Smoking Bling

15 Sep

nfc capAndreas and I smoked this Dominican cigar or rather : luxury product,  yesterday before the suckling pig dinner at the golf course.

It’s a Bossner Ambassador gifted to us last week and it comes in a tube adorned with enough gold lettering to have bankrupted the gold reserves of Burkina Faso.

Same applies for the band.

We guessed that some people truly don’t smoke cigars, they smoke bands, and gold, or better yet : gold bands.

We’ve never seen quite such a “modest” packaging for a cigar.

Most understated.

The cigar is Reserva of course, and not only that but Limited Edition as well, and don’t forget it’s XO, whatever that means.

Bling Bling titles.

The cigar tasted of sunflower seeds in cold draw – funny, but that was my first and most lasting impression of it.

After firing it up it was hot dry hay all the way to the finish.

Extremely light, mild, no ups, no downs, no hills, no valleys, just a totally flat line from start to finish.

Completely boring and lacking any expression whatsoever.

Sleeping feet have more life in them.

Maybe the packaging is expression enough – I mean, why care about cigars when you can place this golden dildo on a table.

A conversation piece – not a smoking piece.

Wouldn’t have improved this stick – but I know what you mean …

All show,no go. When a cigar maker puts that much into the packaging and not into the blend, it is a recipe for failure.

“Sleeping feet have more life in them”!

Must be the best description I’ve ever read about a boring NC cigar, I’m still laughing writing this!

We just did a Blind Cigar Review of the Bossner Martin at Blind Man’s Puff, I personally didn’t like it at all, but the overall score wasn’t too bad.

      Hi Emmett,

thank you for looking in and for your link – interesting and very in-depth reviews you do, congratulations !

BTW : Bossner is not a German company, it is from Russia.

      Best regards
