21 days and countless fine cigars, meals and rums later I look back and all I can say is : What a great trip !

From scorching heat and blue skies to endless rainshowers and humidity, from lonely beaches and tobacco farms to crowded old Havana, from tourist spots to Cuban family life – the experiences we had were diverse and deep.

I will post about the trip in detail in the coming days – for now here’s a picture gallery of the highlights we, David, Debbie & Laura from Canada and Jan from the Netherlands shared in Cuba.

Starting the day smoking a fine cigar and drinking the possibly best Cafecito at Partagas with Grecia, La China and the great staff, lunches by the sea at Santy’s and 7 Dias, La Foresta and El Rejoneo, dinners at El Carbon, Espacios and La Foresta again as well as at Bella Ciao with Jaime and Tina, midnight dancing and boxing practice at Bar Monserrate, visit to Robaina’s and Hector Luis’ farm and the famed Hoyo de Monterrey, a tour of La Corona factory, visiting all the LCDH’s and meeting rollers like Yolanda, Juanita, Reynaldo and Alejandro plus Carlitos Robaina as well as Zoe at the Museo del Tabaco to doing the tourist stuff in old Havana and getting a haircut again at Papito’s ArteCorte.

We sure had long days and short nights …. but it was worth the energy and rewarded by laughter, friendship, good conversations and the sharing of countless experiences.

Thanks to David, Debbie, Laura and Jan plus all the good Cuban and international friends we met and shared fun with.
