The Partagas Welcome Night Nov. 2014
10 Dec
Talk about Lady Luck – it had been a cool, rainy and terribly windy day in Havana but the Partagas Welcome Night held in the open at the historic Plaza de Armas caught the exact dry time frame for the two and a half hours the show and dinner lasted.
I had booked it as I missed out last year’s event at the Plaza de la Catedral and loved the open air, historic setting.
Smoking a cigar or two while having dinner and catching a great show at such an spectacular venue is truly fantastic. It was also the chance to meet and greet friends from all over the world and mourn the loss of Massimo.
Grecia and her hard-working team managed to put up an unforgettable event. Worth every minute.
With the rain coming down a few die-hard fanatics retired to the historic bar at the Nacional to continue the party.
Here’s a pictorial gallery.

Dear Nino,
What do you have in your hands in the picture taken next to Chavez’s portrait?
Best wishes,
