Um es kurz zu machen – ja, es war wieder ein schöner Abend, gute Freunde, gute Zigarren, gutes Essen, gutes Trinken, viel Spaß, und zum Schluss noch eine Cohiba Gran Reserva, Cosecha 2003.

Was kann man mehr haben wollen ?

Gut, eine bessere erste Hälfte der Zigarre will ich, denn die ersten 30 Minuten schmeckten nach Allem, nur nicht nach Cohiba. Relativ ausdruckslos. Auch etwas zu trocken, was vielleicht meine Schuld war, denn ich liess sie lange in der Festival Box liegen bevor ich sie in Tubos umpackte.

Aber dann, da schlug der Vorschlagshammer zu und die Zigarre wurde stark, sehr stark. Gute Aromen die darauf deuten dass die Zigarre aus besonderen Tabaken gerollt wird. Und dass sie Rückgrat hat.

Jedenfalls verzichtete Andreas auf das letzte Drittel aufgrund der Stärke.

Ich nuckelte glücklich weiter an meiner und vernichtete danach seinen Reststumpen noch dazu.

Eine Zigarre die man sich merken sollte, wenn die Brieftasche es zulässt.

To be short and blunt – yes, it was yet another happy evening, good friends, good cigars, good food, good drinks, lots of fun, and a Cohiba Gran Reserva, Cosecha 2003 to finish all up.

What more can you ask for ?

Well I’d ask for a better first half of the cigar, as the first 30 minutes tasted of anything but Cohiba.

Quite boring. Also a bit on the dry side, which might be my fault as I kept them too long in the original Festival box before packing them in tubos.

But then the big bang came and the hammer hit us right smack in the face, the cigar became stronger, very much stronger. Good aromas that indicate that special tobaccos have been used to roll it.

And a big backbone. Big enough to cause Andreas to forsake his last third due to the strength.

I happily finished mine and then also reduced his last third to ashes.

A cigar that should be remembered – if your wallet allows you the reminder call.
