Visiting A Cigar Factory In Havana

Along with some Brazilian friends interested in cigars that we had met at the Partagas cigar lounge we dropped by La Corona factory and were granted a tour through its extensive rolling halls ( galeras ) and sorting/banding/boxing rooms.

La Corona is actually one of the best factories to visit as it offers all cigar manufacturing departments as a microcosm, from the stripping to colour grading to box making.

As I have had the privilege to visit a factory frequently, I concentrated more on the current production being rolled out and was amazed to find an impressive amount of Bushido boxes being prepared ( hopefully they get out soon as I am on a waiting list for a box ), the new Magnum 56 EL and the R&J Gran Reserva.

It was a pleasure to satisfy the Brazilian friends curiosity as they were truly interested and passionate about cigars but had very little knowledge so far.

They thoroughly enjoyed their visit and we had the chance to share a late lunch and cigars afterwards and continue the interesting conversation.

Great shots as always Nino. Still on the list for another box of Bushidos myself, glad to see they’re still rolling them
