Havana – New Anillas And Other Beauties
18 Mar
While I have to thank my friend Adrian for the printing of the bands – he organized it in northern Spain and brought the bands over to Havana – I am also very thankful to Andres, another northerner who kindly let us use his existing printing design on our anillas.
I put some of the new personal bands on very lovely and oily Salomones rolled by Santos, some of the last he rolled at the Comodoro Casa del Tabaco – La Escogida – before retiring.
And although I brought over some very interesting cigars like the Cabeza Tumbada ( Resting Head ), a smaller 109, the Lusitanias GR or lots more of the excellent MC 520, I didn’t dare put on more of my new bands on the cigars as I know Cuban customs officials are not happy having their coat of arms used by foreigners. All other Cubans are proud …
I am quite used to banding cigars by now, so that will be done here.
As the saying goes : Un tabaco sin anilla es como una casa sin balcon ….

Nice Salomones, the shade looks perfectly oilly!! Enjoy it!!!
LOL. Just a few of those Lusi GR’s, Nino! Well done! LOL. Enjoy them well, my friend. Cheers.
The bands look even better now that they’re on the cigar.
