Valerio’s Pasta Dinner

A very unique experience to enjoy homemade Pasta from Mr Valerio Cornale, a superb chef and respected vendor ( LCDH Cayman Islands) in very casual and relaxed atmosphere.

A privilege to be invited to his home-cum-museum in Vedado for an intimate dinner with some friends like Pasquale Tedesco, also from the Caymans, or Andrea Vincenzi of Diadema Spa Italia.

An oasis in the Festival circus, this was breathing space and the R&R – Rest & Recreation – required to load up the batteries again.

Simple but perfect Bruschetta and excellent clam Farfalle – all served along 3 different fine French champagnes ( Vve Clicquot and Bollinger I remember ) and 2 great cigars and intelligent conversations for dessert – the kind of atmosphere I love.
Life can be so simple & easy.

The cigars were a ’05 Rodolfo Leiva CR from Nakamura, definitely rolled and stored in a stable, I’ve never tasted or smelled such a “horsey” cigar before. Incredibly strong too. And a perfect¬†Valerio Cornale custom rolled.

A good shelter in the cold and stormy Havana winter’s night.
