The last flight – By Frank Swinnen
10 Aug
It is with great sadness that I have to announce that my best buddy, my brother from another mother and all time favourite travel companion Nino Munoz has passed away last night.
My thoughts go out to his lovely wife Inge who stood by his side till the very end.
May she find comfort in the fact that he had a wonderful life and that he will be missed by many.
After having fought a battle he couldn’t win he decided that enough was enough and took of on his final trip to the big unknown. Not in his beloved Boeing 747 this time but with his own well deserved wings.
It’s a voyage for which he couldn’t invite me to come along but I am sure that he’ll be doing great stuff with some of his other friends that are already there. The empty space that he’s leaving behind will be hard if not impossible to fill but like we used to say “it is what it is” and life must and will go on for the ones that stay behind.
We had the time of our lives traveling the globe together, doing the most crazy sh*t while meeting the most interesting people. He was never interested in any fancy stuff and so we always ended up talking for hours and hours with good honest friends in houses where the streets have no names.
“Kleiner”, safe travels and untill we meet again. Smoke a good one.
When angels travel, the sun shines.
